Geographically, Scandinavia is extremely diverse, ranging from the fjords of Norway to the Scandinavian mountains, from Denmark’s flatlands and the archipelagos of Sweden and Norway, to the lakes and Ice Age moraines of Finland. This piece by Yoon Hye Kwon also alludes to the region’s transitional areas (Scandinavia’s largest glaciers are located in the north, and continental temperatures prevail in the south).
