FOR INTERMEDIATE
STEP 1: Cut a 6.5 cm piece of red and white checked ribbon and 1 m of nylon thread. Fold the ribbon in half and sew it together 5 mm from the edge as shown in the illustrations.
STEP 2: Fold the edges back and tack them to the ribbon as shown. sew the ribbon all around with simple stitches. Pull the ribbon tight and fi nish with four back stitches.
