Bead weaving, which is a beautiful craftwork of weaving beads using a weaving machine.

Since when have you already been holding workshops?
I have been teaching since 1980.

What fascinates you about using Swarovski crystals?
Jewel-like sparkles, colors and shapes cut with superb techniques. I am inspired by the attractive new colors, which always represent the newest trends.

What is your favorite Swarovski crystals color?
Colors such as Crystal AB, Vintage Rose, Golden Shadow and Opal are my favorites. Indian Red, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, and Crystal AB match so well with seed beads, enhancing sparkle and adding a touch of class.

What is your favorite Swarovski crystal?
#5328 is my favorite because it is beautiful with a great reflection effect. I also like Crystal Opal, pendant, Fancy Stone as they are attractive, partly adding sparkle.

What was your first piece of work using Swarovski crystals?
My first piece of work was a necklace combining Peridot and Blue Zircon. I have been collecting Swarovski figurines, which led me to use Swarovski crystals. Swarovski crystals have helped enhance the appeals of my work.

What is your favorite design you have ever created with Swarovski crystals?
A reversible bracelet and bag created with Crystal Pearl and Crystal AB.

Bead weaving of course, but I also love appreciating traditional cultures, listening to classical music as well as travelling.

How would you describe yourself in three words?
I have a “questing mind” for beautiful things, I have “gratitude” for living a blessed life, and I have a “passion” for sharing the joy of creating something.

What would you definitely take with you on a lonely island?
Beads (including Swarovski beads) and a bead weaving machine. Also, a memento of my late husband, and a picture taken with my daughters’ families.

What is the first thing at the day you usually do?
Giving thanks to all people, checking e-mails, and exercising for 10 minutes.

What is your motto of life?
Taking good care of my health. Setting a goal and making efforts for achieving the goal. Keep on smiling.

What advice would you give to new fans of Swarovski crystals?
Bead weaving using Swarovski crystals is easy. #5328 4mm and #5000 3mm are especially suitable for bead weaving. If you get to know the appeal of Swarovski through repeated practice, your talent will surely blossom. I would like to convey to people the happiness you can feel from the Swarovski’s Jewel-like sparkle.
