Design/Expertise-related information

What technique(s) are you particularly focusing on?
Nail art using Swarovski crystals, especially 3-D decoration.

Since when have you already been holding workshops?
I started teaching in March 2011.  After experiencing the Great East Japan Earthquake, I felt like passing something on to the next generation.

What fascinates you about using Swarovski crystals?
Quality, sensibility, philosophy, history, etc... Materials manufactured by Swarovski help my work to reach the highest possible level.

What is your favorite Swarovski crystals color?
Crystal. I think this is the best color because it shines the brightest with its simplicity.

What is your favorite Swarovski crystal?
#1088 SS39
When I pick it up with my thumb and index finger and look at it closely, the depth of its cutting makes me lose all sense of time. This crystal is basic yet possesses the biggest potential to motivate me to create something.

What was your first piece of work using Swarovski crystals?
A “Simple is Best” nail art piece I created in 2003, using #2028 (currently #2058) SS9 at the base of the nail tips.

What is your favorite design you have ever created with Swarovski crystals?
A piece called ’Champ de lavende,’ which appears on page 92 of my book “STYLISME D'ONGLES -100 modèles de nail-art expliqués pas à pas-”. I created something like a crystal ball combining Swarovski crystals. This was the beginning of my reputation as a ‘3D Swarovski crystals ARTIST’.
