What technique(s) are you particularly focusing on?
I like incorporating crafting techniques into my jewellery, such as knitting, crochet or even working with polymer clay but love using fancy stones and settings whether it is wiring them together or using with bead stitching.
Since when have you already been holding workshops?
I’ve been running workshops since 2004.
What fascinates you about using Swarovski crystals?
The variety, fabulous colours and versatility. I like that there are new products to inspire and excite but also the continuity so that if designs are in a book, the readers can still create the designs years later…
What is your favorite Swarovski crystals color?
I’m a turquoise fan so Indicolite (aren’t the colour names fab!) but these new Crystal Pearl colours are amazing.
What is your favorite Swarovski crystal?
Too many to choose from! I do love the Swarovski Fancy Stones with their specially designed settings, in particular the Princess Baguette.
What is your favorite design you have ever created with Swarovski crystals? I designed a bib-style necklace for my book, Crystal Jewellery Creations, which has a whole selection of different Fancy Stones wired together and then embellished with Crystal Pearls, XILION woven flowers and drop crystals. Perfect in pink for a wedding but would look fab in other colours.
What are your hobbies?
Walking with my husband and lovely Weimeraner, Molly, gardening when the sun shines and learning silversmithing at a local college.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Creative, loyal, dependable
What would you definitely take with you on a lonely island?
My tool box, I love to make things...
What is the first thing at the day you usually do?
Every second morning I go for a run with the dog – otherwise it’s a cup of Rooibos tea.
What is your motto of life?
